Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Policy Communications Intern to support our Policy Marketing Manager. This position will provide a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in policy communications, digital asset advocacy, and strategic messaging within the dynamic landscape of blockchain and digital asset regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of policy communications strategies, including drafting newsletters, press releases, policy briefs, and social media posts.
- Support the preparation of content for policy-related events, reports, and member communications.
- Monitor and analyze relevant policy developments and legislative updates, providing briefings and summaries as needed.
- Collaborate with the Policy Marketing Manager on key advocacy campaigns and communications strategies.
- Assist with tracking media coverage and preparing reports on press outreach and engagement.
- Help maintain and organize policy communication materials, including policy reports, fact sheets, and advocacy documents.
- Engage with industry stakeholders and support internal communication efforts across teams.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Political Science, Communications, Public Policy, Marketing, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to synthesize complex policy issues into clear, concise messaging
- Interest in blockchain technology, digital assets, and public policy
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in Canva and familiarity with social media platforms
Preferred Skills:
- Academic experience in public policy, communications, or digital assets
- Familiarity with digital assets or blockchain technology
- Experience with social media management tools or content management systems
